Look, we love Wolverine. But Hugh Jackman can't deliver the lawls like a proper comedian, which is why we've picked 7 funnymen (and women) who would probably be better Oscar hosts.

This quirky red-head has charmed audiences for years and now that he's taking over the Tonight Show, his popularity is obviously peaking. His willingness to embarrass himself and self-depricating humor is exactly what is needed in a room full of self-obsessed actors. With his mainstream appeal and family-friendly content, we're sure that the Academy would approve. Win-win-win!
6- Will Ferrell

Will Ferrell has been the darling in ridiculous comedies for years and his popularity has never faltered. We would consider him as wholesome and American as apple pie. He's got the street cred to make the show fun to watch and he's mom-approved. The highlight of a Farrell-hosted show would be the possibility of SNL sketches to keep us from snoring throughout the show.
5- Sasha Baron Cohen

Even we can admit that unleashing Sasha Baron Cohen on the Oscars would be risky. His style of comedy is mocking and bold, but wouldn't it be a great show? Imagine the Borat and Ali G sketches; we would kill to see celebrities dressed to the nine embarrassed on live TV. We love him because of his intellectual humor and, of course, all of the crazy characters he plays.
4- Seth Rogan

Seth Rogan's career has been on fire in the last few years and there is no denying his appeal to the next generation of movie goers. The best thing about Seth, though, is that he's actually very funny in real life. With his goof ball attitude and lovability factor, he would be a bona fide crowd pleaser.
3- Dave Chappelle

Even after he walked away from 55 million dollars, Dave Chappelle's popularity has not waned. He is still one of the wittiest, insightful, and lovable comedians of all time. We would be guaranteed a great performance and classic skits. Sure, he broke one of the most lucrative contracts of all time, but he had his reasons. If the producers of the show were smart, Dave would be at the top of the list of potential hosts.
2- Stephen Colbert

Stephen Colbert has got a cult following. His quick humor and larger-than-life persona, he would appeal to the audience's intellect. We're not sure that he would be accepted by the mainstream, but this is the same guy who can claim the "Colbert bump." If anything this would be the Oscar's chance to become viral on the Internet and there is no denying that would up the show's cool factor.
1- Tina Fey

Tina Fey was 2008's "it girl." With her parody of Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live, during the 2008 election, she became a superstar. She's loved for her dry humor and every nerd in the world has a crush on her. As the creator of hilarious show, 30 Rock, and her success at SNL, she's already proved that she's got the brains and personality to pull off the Oscars.
